The Surf Shack is Tofo’s own local grown surf shop. What started as a casita on the beach grew into a fully equiped surf shop right on our main beach break in Tofo. From short boards, mini malibus and longboards to bodyboards and SUPs – for rent and sale – as well as all kinds of surf accessories and cool local-made clothes, gadgets and trinkets.
Surfing in Tofo is like no other! Beautiful cristal clear waters with cracking waves humpback whales in the background and the chance of having dolphins dropping in on your waves! It’s even possible to see turtles, manta rays and whale sharks on your Tofo surf safaris.
Our friendly instructors coming from all over the world are led by Dutch owner, Arjen, who has over 10 years of teaching experience. Together we have taught hundreds of lessons over the past two years to all levels of surfers. We provide lessons to the local school kids, surf camps, travellers and we have even experienced amazing waves with a determined group of physically challenged people!  
While the main break is the perfect spot for kids and beginners, we are just a stone’s throw away from several other uncrowded breaks like Tofinho point. Our friendly staff are here to help with up-to-date forecasts on the tides, wind and waves, to point you in the direction of the good spots and to get beginners onto their boards for the first time.
